USUMACINTA RIVER REFORESTATION PROJECT

The best and most efficient way to repair the damage we have done to nature is by reforesting.

Quick and effective actions are urgently needed to restore the environment, such as reforesting the most important and largest rain forest in North America, in the Usumacinta River region, in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. The biodiversity of this ecosystem, so rich as fragile, has been severely damaged, and brought lots of species to decline its population. We also fight this rain forest restoration worst enemy: the highly invasive exotic plant Water Lily Eichhornia crassipes, that severely stunts growth of the new healthy saplings.

Giving them back their habitat is their right and the best way to protect them. Help us bring the jungle back to life.

Every single tree to be planted, will come from a plant nuresery especifically made for local native species to ensure the right way to reforest and avoid exotic ones.

For the success of the project it is essential to monitor the development of the plantation and replace the trees that are needed in case they die.
